Dr. Nasser Kakembo is one of the founding directors of the Paediatric Surgical Foundation Limited (PSFL). He is a dedicated pediatric surgeon who has played a big role in improving surgical care for children in Uganda. Dr. Kakembo is a senior lecturer in the Department of Surgery at Makerere University College of Health Sciences (MakCHS), where he also serves as the course coordinator for final-year medical students in Surgery.

At Mulago National Referral and Teaching Hospital, he is actively involved in providing specialized pediatric surgical care and training future surgeons. He serves as the Program Director for the Pediatric Surgery Fellowship under the College of Surgeons of East, Central, and Southern Africa (COSECSA), a key partnership through which PSFL is building local capacity in pediatric surgery.
